Thiruketheeshwaram Kovil

Located near the coastal plains of Mannar stands Thiruketheeshwaram Kovil, one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Sri Lanka and an important place of worship for Lord Shiva. Steeped in legend and devotion, this ancient kovil is deeply connected to the spiritual history of the island. According to tradition, this is one of the Pancha Ishwarams, five ancient Shiva temples believed to have been established by King Ravana.
