Gateway of India
The Gateway of India, an enduring symbol of Mumbai, is one of the city’s most visited landmarks. Located on the waterfront in Colaba, this grand archway stands as a testament to India’s colonial history and architectural brilliance. Built in 1924, the Gateway was designed by British architect George Wittet to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911.
